My sister is in town, so we had family over for dinner the other night. As many of you can attest, when you get together with family you haven’t seen in a while, you spend most of your time reminiscing. So, in the midst of our eating, and playing games, we got talking about family vacations.

Now, I am not necessarily OLD, but I am not young, but we didn’t have the luxury of searching for vacation houses online. We had to go from the pamphlets and pictures that were probably taken the day after the house was built! SO. Having said that, the other night we got talking about a house that our family rented for summer vacation. Our dad went to a travel agent and got a sheet with a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex in the Florida Keys. This year was going to be different because we would normally camp, but we were going to live it up in an air conditioned duplex! Needless to say we rented the duplex, and heading down to the Florida Keys extremely excited!

Oh boy! If you could have seen our faces when we got there. Nothing like the picture. The property wasn’t kept, the interior of the house was unkempt, and it looked like someone ran a vaccum through the carpet about a year before that. My mom wanted our money back, but like I said we used to camp, so this was still a bit luxurious. We all got through the vacation, and we have some crazy memories in that house/duplex.
